This is incredibly heart-wrenching (http://www.zombietime.com/wtc_9-13-2001/) .
Lets not forget what happened on 9/11/2001 and the souls we lost.

Why do we constantly hear that our public officials are out of touch? Good question, US Senator from Alaska Ted Stevens (R) gave a brilliant overview of the internet. Wired has a great piece here and the audio can be found here.
These are our goverment officials who are supposed to foster innovation and help the US be a world leader in technology. Sorry, I'm too busy laughing, tubes…
Great news, I've written before about Dabble, but I just wanted to let folks know its gone public and is out of its closed beta. I had the pleasure of meeting Mary last year and getting a peek at what she was doing over at Dabble. Nice to see it launch.
Dabble is unique in that it allows you to store pointers to both video & audio wherever they are (google video, youtube, over 240 different sites) and organize them using tags. There are a number of great community oriented features like tracking media tagged by friends, most popular/most recently added media, etc… And the sharing of tags amongst the community. Dabble has a great blog at http://www.dabble.com/blog.
Its nice to see something really innovative and useful launch instead of more me-too efforts. Best way to think of Dabble is as both a community site & a "meta" tagging site for media (both audio and video). Keep a close eye on them, I bet you will be seeming some more interesting things rolling out in the future…
Tim Bray has written up a quick outline of his thoughts on Ruby. Suffice to say he is impressed (although I do agree with his criticisms).
I was saddened to read that Syd Barrett, former lead singer of Pink Floyd, died. His story is absolutely fascinating, he left Pink Floyd right before they garnered world-wide fame and went through a complete mental breakdown (induced by LSD according to some). Many say he was the inspiration for the album Wish You Were Here and The Wall. His website is at http://www.sydbarrett.net/
Shine on you crazy diamond…
