Fascinating analysis indeed. Bloggers welcome to the mainstream…
Among the Pythagoreans (followers of Pythagoras) the monad was the first thing that came into existence.
The monad begat the dyad, which begat the numbers, the numbers begat points, which begat lines, which begat two-dimensional entities, which begat three-dimensional entities, which begat bodies, which begat the four elements earth, water, fire and air, from which the rest of our world is built up.
The monad was thus a central concept in the cosmology of the Pythagoreans, who held the belief that the world was - literally - built up by numbers.

For the past few years I have been using a time management system from David Allen called Getting Things Done. It has really helped me become less scatterbrained and much more focused. I highly recommend it, particularly for those people who have too much stuff to do. It has become a huge movement on the internet spawing one of several subcultures (luddite version, digerati version). To really explore this fascinating emerging movement take a peak over at the GTD page at Office Zealot.
I have adapted this system to my own style. Basically I am running my entire life out of a wiki. More on that later…
Killer writing info from the master himself. Problem is I am missing the first and most important element, a talent for writing.
