If you haven’t read Dear Raed then I suggest you spend some time with it. It is utterly compelling and fascinating. Basically its the blog of an Iraqi musing about daily life and the war.
There is lots of speculation about whether its a real Iraqi or a plant. Good question, personally though I think its real. It once again proves the power of the internet. Not the corporate “make a million” internet, but the “let’s all get the power of communication unedited” internet. It really reminds me of the pamphlets that the founders of the US would publish against British rule. Utterly fascinating, spend some time, wish the gang well, hopefully they won’t get hurt. And after the war, I hope the world makes their lives better…
